Best hotel service and price in Kewanee Liked: The room service went above and beyond. Bed was made for us every day. All amenities were replaced daily. Best service from a hotel.

Fair at best, but not bad, a value in terms of cost! Disliked: No clean up of the room the first day, no replacement of soap or shampoo

Disliked: Auto didn't work on heat unit. It was either wide open or nothing

The first room had a drawing on the wall and the second room had dirty drip marks down a wall. Disliked: After checking in and leaving for a concert, our room was given away to someone else. The lady was very apologetic and did refund our money with her placing us in a different room but we lost over $30 in drinks and food that was in the refrigerator that was thrown away and nothing was done to rectify that.

Clean, comfortable, and affordable. Liked: Yes, this is an older property, but it appears investments and improvements are being done on an ongoing basis. The room was clean and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was FANTASTIC! And the water was not hard as it is in so many hotels at all price points. I did, though, miss the vanity having a stopper so as to allow one to fill the sink for washing, shaving, etc. The room also featured a large flat screen television (50+ inch diagonal). Please remember this is a basic hotel; if you want extra frou-frou find a hotel that offers that. If, on the other hand, all you want and need is a great place to stay for rest at an affordable price this is a great choice near the corn and soybean fields of rural Illinois. Disliked: Wi-fi was marginal and the in room phone was not operational; a situation hotel staff responded to by noting repairs were lined up for the following week.

It was a place to sleep. Liked: Nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. Quiet. Disliked: The bedskirt had old dried boogers on it. The bathroom door had been patched multiple times with random materials. The toilet was loose and rocked. The TV remote could turn the set on and off and adjust the volume but we could not select a channel option. No wifi connection offered.

I will stay with them again Liked: The hotel is upgrading. I had a brand new refrigerator and microwave in my room. The bed was comfortable and the surroundings are quiet. I got a good night sleep.

Good value for a comfortable stay Liked: Had everything needed for our overnight stay, convenient to location we were visiting. Very clean, brand new fridge in room, comfortable bed, plenty of places to sit and relax. Disliked: It was an older facility and aesthetic appeal wasn’t prime but we were not concerned about this. It had everything we needed.

I would never stay at The Motor Lodge in Kewanee again. The lady at the front desk was very rude and had a bad attitude. Liked: Nothing really

My go to place in Kewanee, Illinois. Liked: The staff is very friendly. The location was great. The fridge is large. Plenty of seating. The shower worked well. Disliked: The exhaust fan was loud. Could use more overhead lighting.

Rest up Liked: It's a place to rest. Works for me. Nice helpful staff. Disliked: For the price, can't complain.

Overall it was good for what we needed.Staff was super sweet,and the area was quiet.Would Stay again Liked: We did not eat breakfast at the Lodge, there is a restaurant just across the parking lot. Disliked: It is an older style hotel, let's call it Vintage. Needs more outlets in the room and the towels were too small.

Liked: When I first saw pictures I was a little nervous, but it was a very nice place and the price was great.. we will definitely come back to stay.

Disliked: There way no plug for the bathtub drain. I like to soak.

It was ‘adequate’ for our purpose of a one night stay. We would return under the same purposes. Liked: It was clean, the owner/operator/staff were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable. Its ratings and price is what attracted us. We concur with the high ratings for cleanliness and price. Disliked: This is an old worn out motel that shows a lot of use and bare minimum repairs and upkeep. The motel needs a lot of quality work and appealing upgrades. There is a sense there is little funding available in the near term to make this happen. For us, the motel is aesthetically unappealing. Hopefully investment, saving up resources and good management can put back the shine on this place. Then again, that may never happen.
